2510 Ball Screw

A 2510 ball screw has a 25 mm nominal screw diameter and a 10 mm lead. The nut moves 10 mm for every complete revolution of the screw.

The designation "2510" identifies the screw diameter and lead, but it does not define the nut structure. DLY offers several 2510 configurations with different flange shapes, installation methods, nut lengths, ball diameters, load ratings and rigidity values.

Available 2510 Ball Screw Types

Series Nut Structure Main Difference
SFU2510 Standard flanged single nut Standard flange structure for straightforward mounting in common ball screw assemblies.
SFI2510 Flanged single nut Uses a different flange and mounting-hole arrangement from SFU. The installation dimensions must be checked separately.
DFI2510 Flanged double nut Longer double-nut structure with higher axial rigidity than the corresponding single-nut configuration.
SCI2510 Cylindrical single nut Round, non-flanged nut body for installation inside a separately designed nut housing.
SCM2510 Threaded cylindrical nut Uses an external threaded mounting surface instead of a conventional flange.

Nut models with the same 2510 screw size are not automatically interchangeable. The complete model and installation dimensions must be confirmed before ordering or replacing an existing nut.

SFU2510 Specifications

SFU2510 uses a standard flanged single nut. Two versions are available with different ball diameters, flange thicknesses, nut lengths and load ratings.

Model Ball Dia. Nut OD Flange OD Nut Length Ca Coa K
SFU2510-4 4.762 mm 40 mm 63 mm 85 mm 1,944 kgf 3,877 kgf 33 kgf/μm
SFU2510-4/2 3.175 mm 40 mm 63 mm 54 mm 1,150 kgf 2,950 kgf 30 kgf/μm

Both SFU versions have a 51 mm flange width, 6.6 mm mounting-hole diameter, 48 mm mounting-hole center distance and M6 mounting thread. SFU2510-4 has a 12 mm flange thickness, while SFU2510-4/2 has a 10 mm flange thickness.

SFI2510 Specifications

SFI2510 is also a flanged single-nut ball screw, but its flange dimensions and mounting-hole positions differ from SFU2510.

Model Ball Dia. Flange OD Nut Length Ca Coa K
SFI2510-4 4.762 mm 72 mm 85 mm 1,944 kgf 3,877 kgf 33 kgf/μm
SFI2510-4/2 3.175 mm 63 mm 54 mm 1,150 kgf 2,950 kgf 30 kgf/μm

DFI2510 Double-Nut Specifications

DFI2510 uses a flanged double-nut structure. The longer nut body and double-nut arrangement provide higher axial rigidity but require more installation space.

Model Ball Dia. Flange OD Nut Length Ca Coa K
DFI2510-4 4.762 mm 72 mm 145 mm 1,944 kgf 3,877 kgf 65 kgf/μm
DFI2510-4/2 3.175 mm 57 mm 96 mm 830 kgf 1,680 kgf 53 kgf/μm

SCI2510 Cylindrical Nut Specifications

SCI2510 has a cylindrical, non-flanged nut body with a 40 mm outer diameter. It is intended for installation inside a separately designed nut housing.

Model Ball Dia. Nut Length Ca Coa K
SCI2510-4 4.762 mm 85 mm 1,944 kgf 3,877 kgf 33 kgf/μm
SCI2510-4/2 3.175 mm 54 mm 760 kgf 1,950 kgf 31 kgf/μm

Dimensions are in millimetres. Ca and Coa are stated in kgf, and K is stated in kgf/μm. Confirm the complete model drawing before designing the nut mounting interface.

Selecting the Correct 2510 Model

First confirm the required nut structure. A standard flanged single nut, double nut, cylindrical nut and threaded cylindrical nut cannot be substituted solely because they all use a 25 mm diameter and 10 mm lead.

•Confirm the complete series and model number.

•Check whether the ball diameter is 3.175 mm or 4.762 mm.

•Compare the nut length, flange dimensions and mounting-hole positions.

•Check the required dynamic load, static load and rigidity.

•Confirm C7 or C5 accuracy and the required screw length.

•Provide a shaft-end drawing if machining is required.

2510 Ball Screw FAQ

Q: What does 2510 mean?

A: "25" indicates a nominal screw diameter of 25 mm, while "10" indicates a 10 mm lead. The nut therefore travels 10 mm per screw revolution.

Q: Are all 2510 ball screw nuts interchangeable?

A: No. Different 2510 series use different nut structures, flange dimensions, nut lengths and mounting methods. The complete model and dimension drawing must be checked.

Q: What is the difference between 2510-4 and 2510-4/2?

A: The 2510-4 and 2510-4/2 versions use different ball diameters and may have different nut lengths, flange dimensions, load ratings and rigidity. Always check the data for the specific series.

Q: Can the screw length and shaft ends be customized?

A: Yes. The screw can be cut to the required length, and the shaft ends can be machined according to a dimensioned drawing.
