Note:
- The factories marked with colored ■ can provide all lengths of the specified sizes. Products are available in materials such as 20CrMo, 40CrMo, etc.
- The standard material is bearing steel; upon customer request, the material can also be changed to 45# steel, high-carbon steel, 40CrMo, or stainless steel. However, the surface hardness will vary accordingly.
- If a hard chrome-plated shaft is required, please indicate it on the order form.
- If the customer requires threaded holes at both ends or other mating dimensions, please specify them in the technical requirements or on the order drawing.
- WDP hollow shafts are also available.
Classification of Linear Motion Shafts
Standard Linear Motion Shaft
Standard linear motion shafts are designed to work in point contact with linear bearings. Therefore, they require a high surface hardness. As a result, material selection and heat treatment processes are extremely important.
01
Chrome-Plated Linear Motion Shaft
Chrome-plated linear motion shafts are manufactured by applying a hard chrome coating to standard linear motion shafts. They are suitable for use in environments where corrosion or rust is likely to occur.
02
Chrome-Plated Soft Shaft
Chrome-plated soft shafts feature a relatively thick chrome layer, allowing them to be directly used with precision piston rods and certain self-lubricating bearings. Due to their moderate hardness, they are widely used in various industrial applications.
03
Chrome-Plated Hollow Shaft
Chrome-plated hollow shafts adopt a hollow structural design, which significantly reduces weight and simplifies the overall structure. The hollow interior allows for routing measurement cables, compressed air combined with lubricating oil, or integration into robotic arms.
04
Stainless Steel Linear Shaft
Stainless steel linear shafts offer excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and wear resistance, while maintaining stable operating performance. They are widely used in environments prone to oxidation, such as water, chemicals, steam, and seawater applications.
