DLY 25 series linear guides are available in three structures: the HD25 heavy-duty ball linear guide, the ED25 low-profile ball linear guide, and the RD25 roller linear guide. Although they share the same nominal size, their assembly height, rail dimensions, rolling elements and load characteristics are different.

Square and flange block configurations are available for different mounting platforms. Common models include HDH25CA, HDW25CA, EDH25CA, EDW25CA, RDH25CA and RDW25CC. Rail length, block quantity, accuracy, preload and end distance can be specified according to the machine design and operating requirements.

The 25 series is used in CNC machines, industrial automation equipment, packaging machinery, inspection systems and other linear motion applications. Additional sizes and structures are available in the DLY linear guideway range.

Size identification: "25" is the nominal series size rather than the actual rail width. The HD25, ED25 and RD25 models have a rail width of 23 mm, while their rail height, assembly height and block dimensions vary by series.

HD25 Ball Linear Guide

The HD25 series uses recirculating steel balls and provides stable linear guidance for general heavy-duty machinery. HDH square blocks suit narrower mounting platforms, while HDW flange blocks provide a wider mounting surface. Standard-length and extended-length blocks are available for different load and moment requirements.

  • HDH25CA: square, standard-length block.
  • HDH25HA: square, extended-length block with higher load and moment ratings.
  • HDW25CA: flange, standard-length block with threaded mounting holes.
  • HDW25HA: flange, extended-length block with threaded mounting holes.
  • HDW25CB: flange, standard-length block with through holes.
  • HDW25HB: flange, extended-length block with through holes.

ED25 Low-Profile Linear Guide

The ED25 series uses recirculating steel balls and has a 33 mm assembly height. Its reduced rail and assembly height suit machines with limited vertical installation space. EDH is the square-block version, while EDW provides a wider flange mounting surface.

SA and SB are shorter blocks for compact installations. CA and CB have a longer block body and provide higher load and moment ratings. The A and B versions also support different mounting arrangements.

  • EDH25SA: short square block with two mounting holes.
  • EDH25CA: standard square block with four mounting holes.
  • EDW25SA: short flange block with threaded mounting holes.
  • EDW25CA: standard flange block with threaded mounting holes.
  • EDW25SB: short flange block with through holes.
  • EDW25CB: standard flange block with through holes.

RD25 Roller Linear Guide

The RD25 series uses recirculating rollers. Line contact between the rollers and raceways increases rigidity and helps limit elastic deformation under load. It is suitable for machine tools and industrial equipment with demanding rigidity, load and positioning requirements.

RDH square blocks suit narrower mounting platforms. RDW flange blocks provide a wider mounting surface and support top or bottom installation. Extended HA and HC blocks offer higher load ratings than the corresponding standard-length blocks.

  • RDH25CA: square, standard-length heavy-load block.
  • RDH25HA: square, extended-length block.
  • RDW25CC: flange, standard-length block with top or bottom mounting.
  • RDW25HC: flange, extended-length block with top or bottom mounting.

Dimensions

Replacement selection requires confirmation of the assembly height, block width, block length, mounting-hole spacing, rail width, rail height and rail mounting-hole pitch. A shared nominal size does not mean that HD25, ED25 and RD25 components can be installed interchangeably.

Supply Options

Assembly Configuration

Complete rail and block assemblies, separate rails, separate blocks, or rails assembled with the specified number of blocks are available.

Rail Length

Rail length and end distance can be processed according to the installation drawing. Sectioned rails can be supplied for longer travel requirements after technical confirmation.

Accuracy and Preload

Accuracy and preload options depend on the selected HD, ED or RD model. Working load, required rigidity, motion smoothness and positioning accuracy should be confirmed before production.

Order and Packaging

Standard products can be supplied from one piece. Export packaging is selected according to the rail length, order quantity and shipping method.

FAQ

Q: Does the number 25 mean that the rail is 25 mm wide?

A: No. It is the nominal series size. The HD25, ED25 and RD25 rails have an actual width of 23 mm. Their rail height, assembly height and block dimensions are different.

Q: Can an HD25 block be installed on an ED25 or RD25 rail?

A: No. A shared nominal size does not make the blocks and rails interchangeable across HD, ED and RD. Each block must be matched with its corresponding rail series and size.

Q: What is the difference between A, B and C mounting suffixes?

A: In the listed configurations, A identifies a top-mounted threaded-hole structure, B identifies a flange block with through holes, and the C suffix used by RDW identifies a flange block that supports top or bottom mounting. The complete model code and mounting drawing should be checked before replacement.

Q: Should HD25 or RD25 be selected for a CNC machine?

A: HD25 is suitable for many general machine-tool axes. RD25 is more suitable when rigidity and deformation under load are major design considerations. Working load, moment load, mounting span, speed, accuracy and expected service life should be calculated before final selection.
